JIM has had a troubled start in his training career, the reason he eventually tracked down to mould found in the paper bedding he was using and a bad batch of hay releasing spores that the horses breathed in, effecting the horses when under pressure in a race like an asthma attack.

At present Jim has 16 horses in training, the seven year old REGAL D'ESTRUVAL being the oldest, with the others six or younger.

Jim, Susie, and their three children Art, Hugh and Eliza have nearly 400 acres to develop their training project just the way they need it to be. "We have a nice system now, and everything is going really well."
